Hello all, Nilesh from India. Own a cbr 250r over here, done around 17.5k kms and very happy with it. Recently i ran into an issue with regards the chain slider. My first chain slider broke around 7k kms, post that i fixed it using some zip ties. Frankly, those did not last more than a few hundred kilometres, then again i put on another set of zip ties. Repeated it multiple times, untill yesterday when u finally got the chain slider replaced. And it broke again today. It breaks right at the same point near the smaller sprocket, the place where it's supposed to fit in. I don't again want to go thru all the zip tie process again. What can be a long lasting solution to this repeating issue. Is this a design flaw or is there something wrong with my bike.

I own a CBR 250R Repsol since 2015. I've done several mods with my bike including keyless ignition, and love to handle/alter electronic circuits.
In short, I love to be the pulse guy.>:)

Hey guys, thanks for the welcome. I just picked up a 2013 CBR 250 Repsol from the original owner with just 650 miles. This is my first CBR, and first Honda. I just retired and wanted to get back on a bike. The bike is bone stock. I'm going to change out the stock exhaust with a Yoshimura 77 slip on muffler. The bike rides and handles great. Only problem I'm having is when it's cold it takes 2 or 3 cranks to start. The previous owner said it is the original battery and he kept it on a trickle charger. Probably could use a new battery. Also original tires with plenty of tread left but they are 7 years old.

Yoshimura 77 muffler...with or without silencer?

Just picked up a yoshimura 77 muffler for my 250 Repsol. Any pros or cons of installing or not installing silencer that it came with. Will leaving it out hurt performance? Thanks.

There are several reasons why many Honda CBR250 riders prefer helmet by French manufacturer Shark Helmets. First of all, they are safe. Shark Helmets are subjected to many blind safety tests receiving positive reviews from the experts in the field as well as high safety ratings based on the real-life crash analysis. Second, they are comfortable to wear featuring reduced weight thanks to the use of high-quality lightweight but strong materials, such as thermoplastic, fiberglass composite, carbon fiber and so on.

Using the computational fluid dynamics analysis, the company’s engineers create new features with better aerodynamics to reduce drag and wind noise at high speed. Each year they create new and tweak and upgrade existing models to keep riders interested. You can choose from a wide variety of helmet types, styles, materials, and features, such as pinlock-ready face shields, Bluetooth communication, integrated sun visors, and so on. Good to be here everyone,

I bought my CBR250RA off a good friends wife. It's an amazing workhorse that I commute 56 miles on every day. It's such an awesome little bike and I'm excited to join the group. Hopefully y'all don't mind me asking some stupid maintenance questions from time to time.

Cheers,

Hey people, came around looking for info and knowledge on a bike I find myself really digging despite being a sort of hp junkie. My old lady turned me on to it's charm and I'm hooked. Bunch of rides in the stable including a couple of old Brutales, a BMW F800R, a little Duke, and a big ass ZRX.

Hey guys, I’ve been a member here for about 5 years. After being rear ended in a turning lane a few years ago I left the bike in the garage in pieces for a couple of years. During the last riding season I’ve put her back together and did some modifications.

Woodcraft clip ons
Yoshimura Rearset brackets
Yoshimura exhaust bracket
Leo Vince Slip on
Bazaaz Z-Fi
Integrated LED tail light
Flush mount TST turn signals
PSR footpegs
CBR300R rear seat cowl
Racetech fork springs
Motul 20w fork oil
13T front sprocket
Vortex adjustable levers

Planning to replace OEM rear shock with an Ohlins in the next few months

I’ve had A 600RR and a Buell S3 1203cc in my 15 years of riding and I still have not grown bored of the little CBR. It makes me a much better rider. Every trip is an endeavor into smoother and more technically sound riding. I even have buddies I ride with who have ZX-10s who will defend my bike against the typical squid guys... they’ll laugh a bit and my bro’s tell them, “if you go out into some twisty stuff you better be on it cuz he’s gonna leave you”

Timing Chain Replacement timeline

Good day team,
I was just wondering when would be the time to replace your timing chain? Or is this a part that should hopefully last the time of your bike?
Service manual doesnt actually say anything about when to check/replace.
Mayne honda was like "the bike will die before the chain needs replacement." Hahahaha

Safe riding all.

With Heated Gear From Best Brands You can Continue Enjoying the Rides in Winter

If you live in the region with mild winters, you may feel reluctant to park your bike for the off-season, but riding without some kind of heated gear may seem unbearable. When it is cold outside, your hands are first to feel the consequence of the temperature drop. You may start feeling numbness in your fingers because of limited circulation in your limbs. This is the protection mechanism of the human body when the blood is rushed to vital organs in the core to keep them warm as long as possible even if it means sacrificing the extremities. But we don’t want that.

You can keep your core warm in any weather with an electrically-heated jacket liner. Pick up heated gloves, socks or insoles, and pants liner to feel fully protected during your winter rides. These pieces of gear and apparel can be portable and draw power from rechargeable batteries. You may need spare batteries for longer rides or simply choose products that could be plugged in directly into the electrical system of your Honda CBR250.

Hi everyone!

Hello all- misaligned rear axle...

Hi! I just got a 2011 cbr250r about a week ago, and the guy who had it didn’t take care of it. I’ve fixed a few things with no issue, but (little did I know) that there’s some things about bikes that are TOTALLY DIFFERENT than cars- which has always been my strong point. The bike was more jerky than I think it should’ve been, so I tightened the chain slack, but when I did I also completely screwed up the alignment notches on the rear wheel, and noticed a few problems after I did it. The chain it tapping on the slider bar, and the brakes are dragging the rear wheel. The rear wheel is crooked now, and it was jammed on the swing arm bc I over torqued it and bent it... I bent it back, and it’s not jammed like it was, but on this bike I can tighten the chain more, but can’t loosen it. The wheel needs to be moved forward. The notches are way off, and I’m trying to get the notches to line up, but this cbr adjustment setup sux! What should I do to scooch the wheel forward when it’s jammed? Beat it with a hammer? Remove the axle nut completely? Will someone tell me how to fix this ******************** thing?

New to me 2012 CBR250R, hello!

Hey guys! My name is Mike, I'm in West LA and I just picked my CBR250R today! I have 10k miles down on a CRF250L so I'm comfortable with this motor.
It is a 2012 with 2900 miles.

The previous owner had the bike lowered (down 1"), with a lowering link, as well as the front forks.
I put about 50miles on it today and it seems really fun. initially I felt eager to rise it back up to stock level, now I'm thinking I should take it on a canyon run and see how it does. What do you guys think? I'm 5'10" 200lbs. Any pros or cons you can suggest?

Thanks guys! I'm really happy to be here.

Back on a CBR250R -- For two weeks only.

On the 18th of February I'll be travelling from England to Australia to meet up with our son and have negotiated with my wife a couple of weeks motorcycle touring on my own. She wouldn't take as long away from her business as I am from mine so........
Hiring a bike in Oz was going to cost me at least AU$3000 so I decided to look at what I could buy for that money and found the little beauty in the picture below. Anything I get back on it will be a bonus and I won't have to worry about any damage if things don't go to plan. After having moved on to an R3 a year ago at home I'm really looking forward to getting back on a CBR250R.
I'll have to sell it quickly when I arrive in Sydney in early March to meet up with the rest of the family, probably to a dealer but maybe I can find someone who fancies a bargain.
